Huaywasi for All

This fall, Huaywasi is increasing its inclusivity! With new men’s and unisex options, we are making fair trade fashion available to all. It was not an easy process: one of the men’s products was originally designed as a women’s product. Elena, the artisan who also made the women’s cowl neck sweatshirts, adjusted the pattern so that it would accommodate men’s sizes. This sweatshirt comes in taupe and dark green - the perfect neutral for fall that fits any style. Pair it with jeans and your favorite sneakers for a laid back look or dress it up with some chinos and boots - no matter what, you’ll stay warm with this fall essential.

We also are offering some exciting men’s accessories for the fall. We are introducing a men’s tie made of Tela Andina (Andean fabric). If you’re looking to make the work day a little more exciting, this is the perfect tie for you! Next, Nelida, our resident knitter, made an amazing men’s color block scarf. Knitted with navy, grey and maroon alpaca-blend yarn, this scarf is ideal for staying warm and trendy, all while being 100% fair trade. She also made a men's knit hat to match. The set is a top choice for a color coordinated fall outfit.

Finally we are introducing two unisex products this season. First, we have the winter vest - made of a water-resistant fabric with a warm, cozy lining, this is a fantastic lightweight option for your winter outerwear. We also have our Huaywasi sweatpants. Made of a comfortable, breathable yet warm fabric, these pants will be your next favorite pair to lounge in around the house. And, they have a Tela Andina detail on the inside of the pockets to add a little flare to this amazing comfort essential.

These products are almost ready to be launched but we just can’t wait to share our more inclusive items with all of you. As always, these products are all made by hand and made with care by our incredible artisans. More photos are on the way - our process is slow and deliberate, but that’s what makes our products great. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
