Big Plans for 2017!

It's a new year and that means new projects and goals with Huaywasi and its artisans! We don't want to give away all the surprises, but we thought we'd give you a few things to look forward to! 

100% Alpaca Knitwear

 Huaywasi recently started purchasing 100% alpaca yarn from Michell - a world renowned alpaca supplier that adheres to fair trade principles and ensures that its production does not harm the environment. Nélida and Alejandra are knitting away and loving the incredibly soft and high quality yarn. Be on the lookout for 100% alpaca scarves, gloves, hats, and more! 

Baby clothes & Basics

We couldn't stop at the Wawa Hoodie, the baby clothes are just too cute. Our seamstresses are working carefully on a new line of baby clothing as well as a basics line for baby and adult. Get ready for brand new, custom designed dresses, tank-tops, shorts, and...well, we won't give it all away.   

Screen-printing 

How do you make a hand-made, fair trade garment even cooler? Throw an original screen-printed work of art onto it! Huaywasi artisan Herminia has officially started building a screen-printing workshop in her home, and our ceramicist and painter Saida has been enjoying sketching some pretty rad images to print onto our clothes. Start saving now, because this stuff is going to be pretty hard to turn down.
